Dear Comrades,
 
Please find the following attachments.
 
As decided in the meeting of Unions / Associations held at Mumbai on 19.8.2015, our Units should  hold Special General Body Meetings at all Branch / Divisional centers  for signature campaign among our officers and employees during the period from 9th to 19th September 2015. After obtaining the signatures of officers and employees on the Memorandum the same will be consolidated at each divisional center. Our divisional units will directly send the Memorandam to the Finance Minister on  23rd September, 2015.
 
We request you to advise our divisional units to  coordinate with the unions in Joint Forum  on the above activity.
 
After  sending the Memorandum, the details should to be sent to the AIIEA H.Q ( division-wise).  The pro-forma will be sent to zonal units shortly.

We have already communicated to you about the deferment of strike of 8th July, 2015. We also inform you that in this background the program of 7th July lunch hour demonstrations is suspended.  However, please ensure the successful observance of tomorrow's program i.e., All India Demands Day on 1.7.2015.
 
Draft for Memorandum to be submitted to zonal managers by  the zonal leaders of all unions in joint forum will be sent in a couple of days.

The LIC of India is the finest financial institution in the country. It is the largest life insurance company in the world in terms of the number of policies it serves and claims it settles. Though it currently serves over 42 crore policyholders, it has touched the life of every Indian Citizen through its contribution to the nation building activities. It is therefore a matter of pride to work for such a Premier Public Sector Institution.

The LIC has announced 8000 vacancies for recruitment to the Post of Assistant throughout the country. This is a significant step in the background of unprecedented unemployment situation in India. The All India Insurance Employees’ Association (AIIEA) which is the oldest and largest trade union of insurance employees had invested lot of energy in agitating for recruitment.
